Coles Financial Services was undergoing a period of major transformation, as the financial services business was split from its parent supermarkets company in order to facilitate the development of additional products and services.
Coles Financial Services wanted to establish a program to perform deep analytics on the vast troves of data available through their loyalty programs, customer data and payments networks. To ensure the success of this program, they engaged Elabor8 to support their adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Elabor8 provided Leading SAFe training to their leadership team and assisted with the discovery, analysis and prioritisation of initiatives. We built methods and implemented tooling to support release planning and requirements decomposition, and assisted the company’s data scientists in establishing an hypothesis-driven approach.
Coles Financial Services now has one of the most sophisticated big data / analytics programs in Australia, and is regularly gaining class leading insights into its customers. Due to the success of the analytics program the business is now planning to roll out similar agile approaches throughout its technology portfolio.
