Elabor8 joins Scrum Australia 2016

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be supporting the premiere of Scrum Australia in Melbourne this year.

Australia’s third ever two-day Scrum-focused event is being held over April 28 and 29 within the impressive spaces of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

A founding principal of Elabor8 was to be community facilitators and thought leaders. Six years later and we’re now one of Australia’s fastest growing consultancies.

We believe a large part of our success comes from being connected and engaged with the Agile community.

Read about Elabor8’s journey in APAC CIOoutlook Magazine’s annual special edition on “Agile Solutions”.

Scrum Australia is a not-for-profit organisation working to create a deeper understanding of the features and benefits of the Scrum product development method in Australia, so as to help companies deliver better solutions and compete more effectively against international software producers.

“The purpose of Scrum Australia 2016 is to gather people from all over Australia to learn about the latest developments in Scrum from the experts, as well as to network and interact with others who are passionate about Scrum. It is the only officially recognised Regional Scrum Gathering in Australasia.

The conference this year is hosting a number of well-recognised international speakers. For Australia to remain relevant in the adoption of Agile/Scrum technique, it is important that our community seeks diverse views and perspectives from these overseas thought leaders.”

Martin Kearns, Director,  Scrum Australia

We’re excited to share the news that Erwin van der Koogh, Head of the Elabor8 Academy is a featured speaker this year and will also be assisting in the Coaches Clinic.

With almost 20 years of experience in the IT industry in the US, Europe and Australia, Erwin is one of the most experienced Professional Scrum Trainers in the country.

When he’s not training, he is helping our clients improve their business agility to take advantage of agile software delivery teams, or speaking at national and international conferences on the intersection of business, technology and complexity.

“I am really looking forward to the conference. It brings some of Australia’s most progressive thinkers (and doers) together. And you should never pass up an opportunity to hear from either Bas Vodde or Steve Denning, let alone both.”

Erwin van der Koogh, Principal Consultant & Head of Academy, Elabor8

Over the last few years, Erwin’s interest has been in growing amazing organisations by asking the question – what does it take to bring all the great things about Agile & Scrum to the entire enterprise?

Elabor8 will be hosting an exhibition stand on the Level Two Foyer throughout the conference. We’ll have some exciting freebies, competition giveaways and a bunch of Elabor8ers you can talk one-to-one with about Scrum.
