New Agile Talent and Promotions to the Leadership Team

The last 12-18 months have been pretty big for Elabor8. We opened our Sydney office which has now grown to become a significant component of our business, focused our efforts on building out our strategic service lines (Agile Transformation, Innovation,  Lean Business Architecture) and also gave our business training unit (Academy) a reboot.

The success of our Sydney office and the Agile Transformation and Academy service lines have created the need for some additional consulting support and leadership.

As every consultancy is only as good as its people, we take great pleasure in welcoming some super agile talent to our company, and are excited to announce promotions to the leadership team.

We are humbled and feel very privileged to be able to attract this level of talent which is largely due to the great work and strong reputation and brand created by our existing consulting team.

Gendry Morales, Principal Consultant –  Agile Transformation

Gendry joins us from Me Bank with her most recent roles as GM of Solution Design & Delivery and GM of PMO. She brings over 18 years’ experience working in a variety of senior technology leadership roles. She has built agile capability within technology teams, reinvented business practices including the PMO, funding models, managing risk and using Lean Agile practices in business planning, metrics and KPI design.

Her specialisation is within SAFe, Change Management, Agile Leadership, Portfolio Delivery, Business Acumen and Business Value Focus.Gendry is a tremendous addition to the Elabor8 team and will help provide a great sense of enthusiasm to our principal consulting group. With her practical experience leading Agile Transformation in traditional large-scale organisations, she will be a huge asset in helping like organisations realize the business benefits from their agile change journey.”

Declan Brady,  Client Services Manager & Principal Consultant – Agile Transformation Sydney

Declan comes to us from Westpac where he most recently was a key member of the Agile Transformation program. He has over 25 years’ experience working in the corporate sector as a leader and change agent most notably he spent 9 years as IT Director of Credit Suisse, Declan has both led and coached teams to become more agile and resilient in how they adapt to the increasingly complex business environments.

His specialisation is within strategy Development & Execution, Leadership Development, Cultural Change and Executive Coaching.

Jody Podbury, Head of Delivery Services Sydney

Jody joined Elabor8 as an Agile Coach (Program) in our Sydney offices during October last year and it didn’t take long for her to showcase her leadership potential. As we continue gaining traction in Sydney it became only natural to formally recognise her role within the team with a promotion to Head of Delivery Services for Sydney.

Jody has a proven track record of successfully leading agile transformations of her own teams and the teams of other leaders. She brings to the table 20 years of experience in technology roles from business analysis, through product management, project management and junior and senior leadership roles. Jody has worked across a broad range of industries including Financial Services, Telco, Media and Health Insurance as well as Consulting.

Jody’s strength as both a coach and leader lies in her pragmatic way of combining agile and lean techniques with leadership and individual coaching to empower people and subsequently the larger team to deliver quality outcomes within the unique organisational context.

Her specialisation is within Agile Leadership, Facilitation, People Development, Agile Program Delivery, Team Culture and Continuous Improvement.

In a short period of time Agile Transformation has become one of our company’s chief service lines. With the ever growing demand we are experiencing from the market, highly experienced leadership was needed to further mature and grow this product.  

David Landry, Manager Head of Agile Transformation

David has managed many successful deliveries in senior consulting and contract positions such as Head of PMO & Program Director at Sportsbet, Head of Delivery for Mobile & Tablets at ANZ and Projects Director at REA.

His wealth of experience in executing large scale platform changes and migrations is of great benefit to our client’s account management, but also to the staff mentoring and development of our junior consulting team.

With David’s talent for open and direct communication alongside his innate aptitude for asking the hard questions, we’re excited to see him take Agile Transformation to the next level.

Erwin van der Koogh, Head of Academy

As our Agile Transformation service line has succeeded in the market, and with Agile continuing to win the hearts and minds of mainstream corporate Australia, we have seen a corresponding demand for training services both from the clients we are helping through Agile Transformations and from the market in general.

When the amount of training delivered through our Academy reached a critical mass it became important to formalise the unit with dedicated leadership.

Erwin van der Koogh previously a Principal Consultant in our Agile Transformation service line and also our principal trainer has been promoted to the Head of Academy at Elabor8.

Erwin is a seasoned speaker who has received great success over the last 12 months in thought leadership both within and outside the company through presenting at local meetups and conferences held nationally and internationally, and also within our service offerings by supporting agile transformations with executive level education and coaching.

Directing the Academy is a natural fit to Erwin’s passion of guiding, coaching and nurturing the next generation of agile leaders. He will also continue offering executive coaching with scaling agile in product companies.

We would once again like to welcome our new Agile Leaders Gendry and Declan and also congratulate Jody, David and Erwin on their promotions.
